Pro Shop Assistant
- $15 Per Hour
- Full-Time
The Pro Shop Assistant is responsible for greeting customers and signing in golfers. The Pro Shop Assistant will also be responsible for opening and closing duties of the Pro Shop. Answering calls and coordinating reservations for tee times. The Pro Shop Attendant collects green fees and dues. Be willing to cross train in other aspects of the golf course as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for activities and functions relating to golf operations including; starting functions, taking reservations, collecting greens fees, golf cart rental.
- Opens and closes the Pro Shop including following procedures for opening and closing the cash register.
- Answers the phone and makes reservations for customers and members.
- Greet and direct all visitors.
- Inform players of course conditions for the day.
- Responsible for running efficient first tee by keeping a group on the tee, a group on deck and a group in the hole. Pair groups to keep a foursome on the tee.
- Effectively manage the tee sheet
- Assists with inventory.
- Use cash register to collect golf fees and make retail merchandise sales.
- Maintain a neat and clean Pro Shop. This includes; dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash cans and stocking merchandise.
Qualifications:
- Prior golf related experience ideal
- Excellent Communication skills required
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks
- Possess or have the ability to get TABC Seller Certificate and Food Handlers (Will provide training if needed)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Outside Services Attendant
- $9.00 – $10.00 Per Hour
- Part-Time
The Outside Services Attendant ensures outside components of golf operations is facilitated. This specifically relates to golf cart fleet management, driving range, and putting green management along with consistent facility/grounds cleanliness and upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Meets and greets all guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Communicates in a clear and professional manner that assists guests in playing the course.
- Provides carts that are in excellent working condition to guests by directing them to the daily staging area and returning them to the cart barn free of debris and items.
- Ensure carts are properly stored and charged.
- Comply with safety procedures and policies while performing job duties, including safely operating golf carts.
- Inspect carts and equipment to detect wear and damage to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper working order; communicate damage and concerns to Golf Pro on duty in a timely matter.
- Coordinates with Pro Shop Attendant to maintain a consistent level of cart availability and to ensure guests are following the rules.
- Maintains grounds of players’ entrance, staging area, driving rage, tee green, Pro Shop,
- Maintains all Cart Barn work, storage, and service areas.
- Maintains good personal hygiene; reports to work wearing a clean, neat uniform that follows uniform standards.
- Ability to explain golf products and services and other information about Oak Hollow Golf Course to all guests.
- Work with Assistant Golf Professional in setup and execution of tournaments and outings.
- Report guest complaints promptly to Pro Shop Staff.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
